Catherine Wiegers received both her Bachelor’s Degree of Science and Master’s Degree of Science for Physical Therapy from Springfield College in Springfield, Massachusetts. The emphasis at the school is for physical, mental and spirit well-being of an individual. This remains part of Catherine today and carries over into her treatment of her patients. She was fortunate enough to have a clinical rotation at Danbury hospital in Connecticut with world renowned, Dr. Travell. Dr. Travell was well known for trigger point therapy and had personally trained the students and staff of physical therapists in her techniques. This is an invaluable skill set to know and utilize to rehabilitate a patient.
Throughout her physical therapy career, she has worked in various outpatient clinics. She has been working at Hands On Physical Therapy, Inc. since 1996 and is the Head Physical Therapist. Countless continuing education classes in the field of manual therapy have been taken to enable her to effectively treat her patients and get them back in the game of their life activities that her patient’s enjoy, as quickly as possible.
In her free time, she is a Mother to four boys which keep her busy when not at work. In addition, she enjoys working out, being at the pool or beach, and reading books.
